If you walked past the CEAD booth at Formnext, you probably saw those huge speakers being printed in sync.
Ever wondered how they were actually programmed? Here’s the full behind the scenes look in AdaOne.
Together with Addit Audio, Airtech and CEAD, we supported the creation of this large scale composite speaker by powering the software workflow behind the print — from slicing to sequencing to simulation.
Printed on CEAD’s Flexcube, a modular large-format cartesian system built for high-performance composite printing, the setup demonstrated how advanced tool paths and high-throughput extrusion come together for complex acoustic designs.
Using AdaOne’s Tool Path Sequencer, they were able to prepare multiple speakers in a single automated workflow while keeping full control over extrusion parameters, tool path strategy and robotic motion.
